Third installment in the James Reese series, Savage Son by Jack Carr is a much darker thriller than the previous two books in the series.
The trail that began in the first book is continued in this book, loose ends are wrapped up and new beginnings are begun. Reese and those around him are under attack once again, this time by an enemy as depraved as can be imagined.
There is less globe hopping in this installment but the action and story do not let up. The mountains of Montana are pivotal and the descriptions make one long for big sky and towering mountains. Can Reese once again save his friends and himself before the forces of the world aligned against him find him?
A simple five stars out of five stars once again. The action and story never lagged and there was never a moment I was bored.
