Smile and Be A Villain by Jeanne M. Dams will be published by Severn House in October 2016.  It is firmly a cozy mystery genre.  This was a Net Galley read.

Alan and Dorothy have embarked on much needed vacation to the small island of Alderney, one of the Nazi occupied islands that sits closer to France than England but is English nonetheless.  Out for a walk, our aging sleuths stumble across a dead body and what ensues is a tangled mess of emotions in a small island.

As usual, the story is very well crafted and the reader soon is engrossed in the emotional lives of the islands inhabitants,  As always, there is a very nice mix of mystery, personalities, and Church.  There is nothing overly religious about the series but without the Church aspect this series would be missing something vital.

An easy five stars out of five stars for letting me lose myself in the fog and rain of the island setting for a couple of hours.
