The Haunting of Melmerby Manor by David Robinson was published by Crooked Cat Publishing on January 16, 2016. It was a Net Galley read and is a mystery.
Following the trend of recent posts, I neither finished this book or was vested in a single character as written. The writing was awful and to be blunt, it felt less like an idea the author was passionate about and more like a ploy to capitalize on all the poorly “written” ghost shows on television.
All of the characters in the fifty odd pages I forced myself to finish, were not memorable (unless being highly arrogant and annoying qualify). I wouldn’t sit down to a cup of tea or a beer with a single character in the book.
One star out of five for poorly written drivel ripped from popular television.
