A Dark and Stormy Knit by Anne Canadeo

A Dark and Stormy Knit by Anne Canadeo was a Scribd read and the last installment of the Black Sheep Knitters that I read this year.  As always, an enjoyable afternoon’s read.

Maggie, Lucy and friends get mixed up in murder when Phoebe returns to community college.  This time, one of their own is threatened and the knitters do not hesitate to come to Phoebe’s aid.

This novel is slightly darker than the previous novels but still firmly in the cozy mystery category.  It is a wonderful mix of dark and scary but without the violence and gore.  There is a dark cloud hanging over the novel, a sense of foreboding that generates oodles of atmosphere.

Four stars out of five stars for a well told story and characters I truly enjoy.
