Empty Nest by Marty Wingate

Empty Nest by Marty Wingate is the second book in the Birds of a Feather series.  This was a Net Galley read.  Another wonderfully written cozy mystery.

Julia Lanchester is still managing the tourism of the Fotheringill Estate, she’s had to move into the manor house because of toxic mold, and her sister is about to have her fourth baby.  So, the very last thing Julia needs is another dead body to turn up and further complicate her life.

Another excellently plotted and written mystery that delves deeper into the characters and what motivates them.  This was such an enjoyable read that it made the stress of the last several weeks melt away yesterday afternoon.  I willingly let myself be transported across the pond to enjoy a cup of cocoa with Julia and friends.

Five stars out of five stars for being a shining example of a beautifully written traditional British cozy.
